Not sure if this is of interest to anyone, but I'll put it out there
anyway! I've created a basic adaptation of TiddlyWiki to use at work.
The main purpose is to use it for reporting to clients on the status
of a project, and recording minutes and suchlike. I've blogged about
it (and it can be downloaded from) here:

One other thing - I'm planning to distribute these reports by email
(obviously I have a backup plan! Just trying email first). I was just
wondering what kind of experiences people have had with emailing
TiddlyWiki files within large corporations? Does it work? What happens
when you double click on a TW attachment from within, say, Outlook,
when, say, ie6 is set as the default browser? I just want my
recipients to view content, not edit it or save locally.

Any anecdotes welcome!

Cheers
Phil

- though for viewing it will work, though the clients will have to
click through many security warnings. Which I doubt everyone would do.

I think Fred suggestion in an other thread - sending it zipped up - a
good idea, since this would hinder some security programs from messing
with the TW itself.

Maybe only sending the tiddler/s with the reports alone would be a
better idea? You could use SnapshotPlugin or PublishMacro to create
simple html files without any js:

Phil,

Usually there is some button on the Getting Started page that says "download by clicking HERE," or some such thing.  I don't see it on yours, and it looks like something I would have use for.  Can you enlighten me on how to download it without that button.  I'm using Ubuntu with FF. and the instructions on the Tiddlywiki page don't help me.

Just right-click the link in the original posting and choose Save Link As.
You could also use "wget <URL>" on the command line...

I tried this and got the message that the java script was broken.  I'll try the command line.

Did you perhaps right-click on the *background* of the page and then
use the "Save Page As..." command? That would result an improperly
saved TW document.

Rather, you need to right-click on a *link* to the desired page (for
example, the link that is in the original posting on this thread), and
then choose "Save Link As..." (or "Save Target As..." if using IE).
This allows the browser to retrieve and store the URL's contents
without also processing that content for rendering (which
unfortunately makes it un-usable for saving the file later...)

Thanks.  That was the solution.  Things are up and working.  A new lesson learned.
