I'm new to TW, so I'm not sure if this has been posted already. I ran
across a cool trick when using TW and Zotero (a free bibliographic
database firefox add-on from www.zotero.org) to embed a Google map
search in a tiddler so that it can be used (panned, zoomed, etc)
offline.

Here is what I did:

1. I installed the FramedLinksPlugin so that URLs that I place in my
tiddlers are rendered in iframes when clicked.
2. I went to Google Map search online to get directions to a
particular location. The result is a webpage that includes turn by
turn directions and a map.
3. I saved this web page in Zotero. Zotero stores a local version of
every page that I add to my collection on my HD.
4. I created a link in my TW to the corresponding Zotero snapshot
page by viewing the snapshot in Zotero, copying the local URL, and
pasting it in my tiddler.

For the few of us left w/o GPS, this specific trick might be useful.
More generally, Zotero's snapshotting capability may be useful for TW
users for other applications.
