A long time ago I was done a visual TiddlyWiki. Ok it's time to renew,
the new version preview:

I only want to remember everybody that TW is a powerfull tool for so
much more than taking notes.

Very pretty, and looks functional.
Any chance of getting a copy of it put up on TiddlyThemes?

Very pretty. Looks like it was done for the Mac environment. I'm
planning to move there soon. When I do I'd like to have it -- assuming
it remains as customizable as plainer TiddlyWiki's.

I'd really love to play with an empty version of that...

Well, Elnoi's former version would still be nice to play with too:

Do you care to elaborate on this at all? I have to admit that I'm
hooked on Tiddlywiki after coming back to it after 2 years. I used it
for a short bit when it first came out then got into other tools
recently under Linux like Tomboy and plain text to html converter
called asciidoc.

I know you can use Tiddlywiki for GTD applications and notes, but what
other things is it good at?

Personally, I have added some plugins that make it one of the first
things I open every day.
- with the Microcal macro: I always have a calculator at my finger
tips.
- with the Calendar macro: I have a current month calendar in my
main menu, so I can look up dates quickly.
- with the Blogplugin: I use tiddlers to update my Wordpress blog
now (a cool thing that I used to do with Tomboy and a plugin)
- I have also found it useful in emailing out a "working document"
for a planning committee. Not everyone uses MSWord, but everyone has a
browser on their computer. You can send something in PDF, but I felt a
working document should be something that a person could edit and send
back by email.
- I also have the default tiddler as a ToDo tiddler that comes up
every time I open my Tiddlywiki file so whenever I wondering what to
do next it is right there in front of me.

Any other unique ways to make Tiddlywiki the tool of choice in the
office?

@Morris: I don't know, Morris, he insisted that his previous version
(ambient) was not photoshopped but a screenshot of his actual TW.

@elnol: Please upload empty copies of these delicious creations to
TiddlySpot!

@mowestusa: see http://www.giffmex.org/tiddlywikicentral.html for
other uses I came up with...

Eloni,
If you are worried about sharing the images due to copyright, how
about sending a copy of your StyleSheet, PageTemplate, ViewTemplate
and EditTemplate?
From there we can play with images of our own creation.

Ok guys, certainly I use Ambient TW since 2006 and Glass TW since 1
month ago. The new Glass version is more productive for my daily work,
I use TW every day at work as my I.T. database.
But there are many many improvements to do:
1 Only works fine in Firefox (ok for me but no for all)
2 The bakcground image is a copyrighted image (I will not distribute
it)
3 My CSS modifications are very poor and there are some duplicate
definitions, hacks, etc.
4 Possible bugs...

I apologize to all, I can't distribute Glass TW now because I'm on
holidays (skiing of course)... When I come back (2-3 days), I will
upload a copy.

Sorry my english.

And.. one more thing: the same TW with other background.

I second what everyone else has already said - this looks very cool, and
I'd love to see it made available as a (single-tiddler?) theme*.

That's fine - it doesn't have to be perfect right away. In fact, the
community might be able to take some of that load off your shoulders...

Actually, I was referring to this.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/elnoi/2379191385/in/photostream/

Is it intended for the iPhone? If so, I take it it be used in a desktop
or laptop environment. Are there the same problems sharing it as
TiddlyWikiGlass? Has it been/can it be upgraded to a 2.4.1 core?

Thanks,

Finally I uploaded a copy here:
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/55061/TWGlass0_9.zip
As I mentioned before TW Glass is not finished yet and there is some
bugs, and many CSS errors.

Some notes:
Only tested on Windows XP + Firefox 3.0.4
Finally the background is a sample background because the original was
copyrighted.
The backstage section, is not CSS rendered yet.
The basic font used is Lucida Grande. The basic color is white (take
care using plugins)
I have no plans to make it IE compatible.

Many thanks elnoi, for your efforts.

I also liked how you moved the MainMenu to the side of the right hand
side bar in 'Ambient', haven't seen that anywhere before.

Would it by too much to ask you also for uploading an example of that
older one?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Can you elaborate more about emailing out a working document?

It would be a nice touch for comments on TW.

elnoi, is iTW 1.0 Core 2.3.0, of which there is also image on your flikr
page, available also?

Eric, iTW is no longer available. I've been using iTW theme for about
1 year and finally I replaced with Glass, (it's better).
If you are so much more interested in, I can restore a backup and send
you a copy but it s not a practial theme and note that no woks on
iphone. I'ts only a theme.
I have not tested iTW with actual 2.4.1 core.
I recoment to you to try Glass, I think it's better and runs with last
core and will have updates.

Sorry my insistence

No problem, elnoi. I just liked the look. OK if I keep in the offer of a
restored backup in mind? I will be getting a MacBook soon. When I do it
might be interesting to see what's still possible with it. [Though my
abilities at tweaking TWs is limited -- severely.]
