I discovered tiddlywiki on my search for a digital equivalent to luhmanns outliner system.

can you provide some links?

Hi Mario,

I guess that´s not an application but rather the method which Niklas Luhman - a German scientist in the field of systems theory - called his "Zettelkasten", litterally revolving around little notes organized and related in a well defined / presistent way. Wouldn't know what the basic (/ most important) principles are though - but I guess there aren't that many of them.

Cheers, Tobias.

I did a google search and found some topics at wikipedia. The stuff looks quite interesting.

As you wrote "I guess ...". Me too.

You did some cool plugins that provide custom sorting. Filtered sorting. ...
I did some sorting plugins / experiments, that could be used / edited / extended. But without some links one can just guess if they would be usefull ;)

According to twusers description the "problem" seems to be interesting ....

have fun!

I have not found official information about the "zettelkasten" only some videos, but vague explained without much details. but I think the main idea was the numbering of every slip "content-related" and not alphabetically in combination with an index. so basically theres not much behind it, my only problem is the numbering of every tiddler in the following way: e.g.: 1 - 1a - 2 - 10 - 25 - 100, at the moment its: 1 - 1a - 10 - 100 - 2 - 25, it think it can be done with the abego-plugin "ForEachTiddler" but the following gives me only standard sorting

<<forEachTiddler
sortBy
'(tiddler.title.toLowerCase())'

As you found out, the TW core can't handle tiddler names like: 1, 10, 2, 3, 100. Because it does sort be the character value and not the number.

It will <<list filter [tag[mytag]]>> like this:

1
10
100
2
3

I did create several plugins [1] that extend the <<list>> macro. So you can nicely sort stuff like

2.1 text
2.1.3 text
2.1.10
2.2.3
2.2.20
2.100
2.11111
4 some text
9
1000

It automatically handles up to 4 "sections" eg: 1.2.3.4 or 1-2-3-4 or 1 2.3-4, The default delimiter is '.' (dot)
Every section can have a different length .... (see the documentation)

Be aware, that XCaseListPlugin has to be installed too.
