So much of the time here we deal with basic function we RARELY deal with final outcomes.

I'd love to read wiki about ...
  • The HATS of Henley.
  • The differing attitudes of Britains NOW about  #Brexit.
  • Worries about Trump
  • To read a wiki about cosmetics use.
  • To understand Hungarian cinema better.
We are CRAP at promoting ACTUAL final purpose, IMO.

I've pointed out before how incredibly easy it is to create Wikis from data sources. (Remember British Sheep?) And I've posted before about my Library which is a fully fledged system which hundreds of people use. It gets promoted in locations relevant to it's content. (Though I've yet to see it added to any TW site that lists/links to TWs). So don't get confused because you don't see the promotions.

If you want to read about the Hats of Henley then may I suggest that *you* create it?

How is NOT TW relevant to this forum?

Oh, that's right,  it's not.

TW work is highly relevant in the forum.

But WHY are we doing this?

It is, I hope, for final outputs that are NOT "about" TW. They are for real information.

They are about helping better expressing users interests. Surely.

If your aim simply to write sites only about TW code?

If so, why? Tell me.

The post that Dragon linked to includes a link to this TW, which is absolutely not about TW:

It’s an index to a multigigabyte store of PDFs.

Best wishes

Jeremy.

J,

My bad in a way.

But ALSO yours by making it look "like tt over-looked". I don't think so.

Fact I don't see it WITHOUT WORK is indicative good stuff like D's TWC http://www.kizar.co.uk/TW/library.html will get over looked.

Totally NOT obvious, till you said.

THAT was my point. UP-FRONTING achievement.

I believe that one reason you do not see as much as you expect published on tiddlywiki is because perhaps the majority are used for personal and private content or at least restricted to a family, team or business. Presently the only wikis I have made public are about tiddlywiki.

However as my knowledge of tiddlywiki comes of age you may see more content published by me. My effort has being to develop tiddlywiki for rapid development but wether it becomes public or not will depend on the solution.

So yes we must encourage sharing of public wiki sites because they are possibly not as common yet as private sites.

I am considering publishing one on the united nations sustainable development goals so people and organisations can explore their own goals.

An old fashioned method used in the past was getting participating sites to list others next and previous sites of other publishers. Arriving at one site means you get to explore other sites in a circle with an index of participating sites. This is also a way to attract more visitors.

Perhaps we need an official registry of sites which seperates about tiddlywiki and other content.

Regards
Tony
