Hi,
currently using:
CopyTiddlerPlugin 3.2.1
tiddlywiki 2.4.3
tiddlyweb 0.9.12
TiddlyWebAdaptor 0.5.4
ServerSideSavingPlugin 0.4.2
TiddlyWebConfig 0.2.2
python 2.4.4
solaris 10
mozilla 3.06

CopyTiddlerPlugin isn't working.
Tested it together with a local empty tiddlywiki 2.4.3 and together
with actual tiddlyweb, but it doesn't work.
If you press the [copy] button there is no action at all, any ideas
why?
thanks Edi

I noticed strange things about copyTiddler yesterday and this message
prompted me to spend far too long playing around with a mystifying
range of varying results different results in each TW, even using the
same (current) version of the CopyTiddlerPlugin.

I can't make the button work at all on the edit toolbar in a brand new
empty file. But even in my own file (with Eric's ToolbarCommands)
where the button works from the edit toolbar, it doesn't copy the
fields. In my other files, the button only works from the view
toolbar. But in one of those files the copied tiddler is displayed,
and in the other one it is created but not displayed (this makes it a
bit hard to find the copy if the original tiddler was tagged
"excludeLists"!).

The bottom line is that most recent update to the plugin broke things
for me. I would have liked to give Eric more constructive feedback but
the jumble of different results has me completely baffled.

a tiddlyweb note:
if you want to use this plugin within tiddlyweb, just use it in edit

you get a precondition error in view mode,
maybe because all tiddler fields are copied.
though it doesn't matter ;)

A further note after some fiddling with Chrome, in case it's of
interest:
Version 3.1.4 of CopyTiddlerPlugin works in Chrome, but the more
recent versions do not (once a tiddler has been copied, from either
the edit or the view toolbar, the file can no longer be saved).

Are you talking about automatic saving via TiddlyWeb, or just the
regular local 'save changes' command? Please elaborate on *exactly*
what happens when "the file can no longer be saved"...

How do you know that the file wasn't saved?
Does an actual error occur and, if so, what is the precise text of the
message(s) that were displayed (if any)?

Sorry, I thought I had tested in a brand new TW, but apparently I
hadn't. Now that I've put the newest CopyTiddlerPlugin into an empty
TW and had no trouble in Chrome, I'm left to conclude that my problem
must be an interaction between CopyTiddlerPlugin and something else in
my file. Yuck.
