If you're getting this, it's because I think you'd be interested in a LARP in the greater DC Metro area. If you get this multiple times, I apologize; I'm casting a wide net.

Short version: Weekend of February the 20th. Star Trek with a touch of Battlestar Galactica. PvE. I need people and a space.

Long version:

So, an acquaintance from the West Coast, Christian Brown, will be in the area on the weekend of February the 20th and is willing to run a one-shot of his campaign in the area.

This would be a one-shot of Starship Valkyrie, a campaign LARP that's currently running on the West Coast. It's a Player vs. Environment LARP in the vein of Star Trek with a touch of Battlestar Galactica. For those familiar with Artemis: Spaceship Bridge Simulator, it's like an analog version of that with starfighters and away teams, that is, more of a LARP. I'm considering running an offshoot campaign of Starship Valkyrie in this area, and trying it out would help a lot.

Obviously, this is short notice. If I can't get it together, no harm, no foul, but I really want to try.

This is what I'd need:

* At least 4 players, and ideally at least 10. More are welcome; on the off change it gets too full, I'll let people know. I may have to ask a couple people to sub-GM and/or NPC.
* Someplace to play. We'd need something suitable for a few action sequences of people hurrying around corners, taking a step backward or yelling out information or orders. This probably means a house where we can clear away a bit of clutter or something like a community center.

If you're interested, please let me know, especially if you have a good idea for a space that we can use. My tiny apartment is not going to be suitable.

I am way too geographically impaired to make this or help out with space. But I am keenly interested in *all* the gory details.

Thanks!

Okay, for those of you who are free and/or interested, here's the details:

If you're interested but you "don't do Facebook," let me know and we'll work it out.
