Minimum Requirements
BS or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
4-8 years of experience in developing, deploying and administering Java applications using J2EE/Weblogic/Apache/Tomcat
2-4 Years of extensive experience in developing applications in Oracle PL/SQL, Developer and Designer tools, and JDBC
3-5 years of developing applications with CORBA technology using Open ORB
3-6 years of strong experience with XML (SAX/DOM), XSLT and SOAP
1-2 years of experience in SOA
In depth knowledge of UNIX environment that includes 4-7 years of experience in shell scripting and Perl scripting
· Prior experience in directory technologies LDAP, etrust, and x.500 will be a plus
· Business knowledge and technical expertise in telephone provisioning will be a plus
· Familiarity with Single Sign On, BEA WebLogic administration will be a plus
· The following tools experience preferred: Oracle database 9i+, BEA, Siteminder, Remedy, PVCS
· Strong skills in solving complex problems
· Experience in cable industry preferred
· Works well in a team environment
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Strict adherence to development standards
· Strong leadership skills
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in cable industry.
Familiarity with firewalls, routers and load balancers.
Deep and broad technical knowledge of cable and IP network technologies, cable company operations, and
I.T. solutions
Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations and interacting with company personnel on complex topics.
Demonstrated experience of participating on teams of technical experts in a diverse, fast-paced, 7 x 24 environments.
Proven experience meeting large deliverables with fixed and aggressive deadlines.
Ability to present clear, concise reporting on concurrent projects and issues
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
