Hello guys--

I guess I am a virgin again at something. Planning on trying
sounds for the first time at the end of the month. I am both a little
excited and at the same time a little hesitant. I have heard of all
the bad things that can happen, but what about some of the good things
to? If anyone can help a rookie at this get a comfortable start into
this, I would be greatly appreciative. Many thanks, Howard

Hi Howard

Welcome aboard the sounding train! It seems like you've thought this through and I remember how I felt when I was preparing for my own session, so I know what you might be feeling.

The good things that can happen differ from guy to guy and there's no telling how you'll react. I don't know what bad things you've heard MIGHT happen, but only one is practically certain to happen to you - the others are unlikely if you're careful and play safe.

So, the bad news: there is a huge chance you WILL feel a burning/itching sensation in your cock and probably along the full length of your urethra for a couple of days after the first time, especially when you pee. In my case, the sensation was on the borderline between excrutiatingly painful and pleasurably stimulating, and most of the time for those couple of days, I couldn't wait to need to pee to discover which side of the line it would fall (it was about 80/20 favourable, and I pee a lot and often; I'm not into pain as such as a sexual turnon). In a way, I'm a bit sorry that I've never had that sensation since.

The burning sensation is nothing to worry about for the long term unless it lasts longer than a couple of days, in which case you've probably developed an infection of some kind so a visit to your doctor would be advised (but do give it 48 hours to clear itself). You don't need to tell your doctor what you've been up to as UTIs are fairly easy to contract.

Play safe. Drink a lot of non-alcoholic liquid beforehand (but not to the extent that you fill your bladder, because that can feel uncomfortable), especially cranberry juice which is famously a decent natural antibiotic (and makes your cum sweet as honey into the bargain). Don't sound for too long on the first attempt ("too long" is relative, but don't go beyond half an hour with pauses - if you can last that long!), make sure your toys are clean (as close to sterile as you can get them) and use lots of clean lube, and nothing bad should happen. Also, as soon as possible after all sounding sessions, take a long pee to rinse out your tubing.

That said, the good things:

First, there's the internal stimulation, which is impossible to describe properly, but think of the way it feels to empty a full bladder, multiply the extent of feeling several fold and extend it in time to however long you're playing.

Second, there's the sensation at the tip of your meatus, feeling your pee-hole expanding. This really is indescribable.

Third, there's the orgasm. Be prepared for it to be long and intense, and to shoot a lot of spunk, and to shoot it far (unless the sound is still inside you, which is not to be recommended, and certainly not for the first time!)

Just out of curiosity, what toys are you planning to use?

Hello guys--
Many thanks for the responses I have received to my question and I am sure more will be coming in.  I will be doing this together with a friend who has been sounding for 4 years and knows his stuff, which will help.  Also he says he uses a first aid lotion and has never had any problems with infections.  One gentleman asked what I will be using and the answer is stainless steel sounds but can't tell you the name of them.  Anyone else with any suggestions would be appreciated.  Looking forward to learning how to sound, Howard

If you're buddy has been sounding for 4 years, odds are you're in safe
hands.
I would STRONGLY suggest you boil them x ten minutes at least...then
do not touch any part of the sound which is inserted. I recommend you
get a new tube of sterile K-Y to use as a lubricant, as well. A
bladder infection can really make you feel lousy for several days and
all serious precautions should be taken, especially for your first
time. If all goes well, you'll want more. If you end up with a nasty
infection, you'll no doubt get gun shy and won't want to do it again,
which would be a shame. Just play safe, remember germs are your
enemy, use a lot of lube, follow with lots of cranberry juice...and
let us know how you liked it! Have FUN!!!
