What's this Google Group for, exactly?

Great question, Aron. No, actually, brilliant question!
The new NCIM Google Group allows members to communicate with the
entire NCIM community... post questions, start discussions, promote
individual events, etc.
Bottom line, Facebook's great, but this is better for talking amongst
ourselves. It's like making everyone in our Facebook Group an "Admin"
without opening-up the group to spammers, and having to check the
Facebook group all the time. (Google Groups can simply work via email,
if you want to do that.)
And hey, if you're not on Facebook, you can still join NCIM.
