Breast Cancer Awareness
Regular practice of yoga, including meditation, helps to reduce vascular inflammation caused by stress that leads to high blood pressure. Decreased salt intake with a low saturated fat diet also plays a dominant role in controlling hypertension. While appropriate drug therapy is essential, regular lifestyle changes, including yoga practice, healthy living, good plant-based diet, all help to control and prevent high blood pressure complications.
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Dr. Mamta Singhvi ,
Internal Medicine & Radiation Oncology,

Radiation is considered a super-specialty, meaning that patients are referred to us from their primary cancer doctors only if the case calls for our expertise. If it is indicated, then radiation is delivered with one of two intentions: definitive, in which case we are going for a complete cure, or palliative, in which the case is terminal and we are trying to treat problematic symptoms such as pain, disability or brain swelling. Radiation is indicated in many different types of cancer, including certain brain tumors, head & neck tumors, breast tumors, lung tumors, gastric tumors, rectal, anal tumors, cervical tumors, endometrial tumors, sarcomas, lymphomas, and more.
Impact of COVID-19 & The Chronic Lifestyle Diseases :
What we know so far !
The damaging impact was painfully palpable on practical aspect of human life. At the time of writing this article (till Feb 2021), worldwide more than 2.3 million people already have lost their lives. Although, due to the swift actions and diligent efforts of the governments, NGO’s, scientists and front-line warriors such as health care, sanitation, and law-enforcement workers in most of the countries, the onslaught of COVID-19 is gradually slowing down and the world is returning to its normal functioning. Indeed, there are epidemiological evidence of accelerated herd immunity in many countries. But as I write this article throughout the world some 105,010 (0.4 per cent) individuals are still struggling to survive with the ‘serious or critical COVID-19'. More than 500,00 new cases are being diagnosed and nearly 15,000 people are losing their lives.

Why Physical activity is important for middle-aged
and older women ?
Ashitha Ramesh ,
Research Analyst,
Indian Institute of Science, INDIA.
Risk of breast cancer increases along with age. About 80% of women diagnosed with breast cancer each year are ages 45 or older, and about 43% are ages 65 or above. For example, women ages 40 to 50, there is a one in 68 risk of developing breast cancer. From ages 50 to 60, that risk increases to one in 42. In the 60 to 70 age group, the risk is one in 28. In women ages 70 and older, one in 26 is at risk of developing the disease. Everyone is aware that doing a physical activity helps in weight loss over a period of time. But it is extremely important because the body produces less estrogen, a hormone which is one of the strongest breast cancer risk factors. Exercising daily strengthens the immune system by lowering the breast cancer risk.
