Team,
This morning we briefed Drs. Cohen and Keaney on several aspects of the ISR, including the character assignments. They were seriously impressed with the list of presentations and were very complimentary of our efforts. Dr. Cohen commented specifically about the fantastic range of characters and emphasized how excited he was for the trip. That vote of confidence is a tremendous testament to all the hard and excellent work you have put in thus far. Thank you.
Alas, we are not out of the woods yet. This email addresses next steps.
Immediate Priorities
By midnight on 17 February, please complete the following:
- Submit character photos to Dee
- Submit DV/character bios to Dee
If you have any questions on this, please ask us ASAP.
Over the weekend of 23-24 February, please meet with your participants.
Near-Term Priorities
The first cut of your character narratives will be due to us on 22 February. Please find attached the narrative from last year. This proved quite effective and we would like it to serve as a model. For each section of the narrative, please be sure to address biographical details on your character, the geographic/temporal context of the presentation, and any other information required to advance the story line. We aim to complete the narrative by 1 March.
Individual Taskings
Annie/Corey: Can you please work to have the annotated bibliography on relevant DV publications completed by 4 March? That way we can distribute it to participants at the launch event.
Eric: Please work with Jon and Dee on the maps.
Louis: Given that the Powell/Armitage event has been put on hold for the time being, we ask that you assist Annie and Corey on the above tasking. The more hands, the less work.
Thanks, all! Feel free to fire away with questions or concerns. Also, we won't have any more group meetings for a while, so if you would like to discuss something just reach out to us and we can set something up.
