Hi Dave and Kelly,

I am not sure what the Chronology, Medal of Honor Citation, and Intel Brief are supposed to be (well, I know what the Chronology is supposed to be, but not exactly what we want from it)--but if there is something I can help out with today/something I missed please let me know.

We seem to be missing a whole lot of information for the flyaway book. I believe I am still waiting for documents from every department (Logistics; Research; QMs; DVs). This is problem for a number of reasons, the main one being that I need a final book ready for print by noon on Friday. A summary follows:

First, the following items are in pretty good shape:

1. The character questions (yes, I did update Cohen's question)
2. character pictures
3. character bios
4. participant bios
5. participant pictures

THANKS to the researchers for doing such a brilliant job with all the items above (particularly all the character photos). We are, however, missing the following related materials:

I have modified the character list so we can see who's bios/pix we are missing (even those individuals without characters. So please open it up and review to make sure everything that you did submit is accounted for.

Next, the things that are in bad/non-existent shape:

1. Research letter (Dave I know you sent me a rough draft; was that approved by the QMs?)
2. QM letter
3. QM Mission Statement
4. Chronology (If we are using the one from Oberdorfer, are we including the whole thing? Should I start re-typing? It's 15 pages long...)
5. Medal of Honor Citation (What is the situation with this?)
6. Intel Brief (Ditto)
7. Itinerary (Unless another document is provided, I am going to pull the section headers from the Character Question list to make up our itinerary)
8. Hotel and Contact Info (A sheet with relevant info would be very much appreciated; Will anyone have a cell phone for emergency calls?)
9. Letter of Thanks
10. QM Bios
11. Quote for back cover.

I hope we are only missing this much stuff because people mistakenly emailed me documents piecemeal rather than saving them in the FLYAWAY FINAL DRAFTS folder as directed. If that is the case, and something you emailed to me has been overlooked, I sincerely apologize. Please do me a favor and go into the PAO folder on Dropbox and save the final draft in the FLYAWAY FINAL DRAFTS folder. Don't worry about the sub-folders -- just mark everything clearly. Once you have done this, please send me an email indicating that you have done so. I get out of class at 4:15 tomorrow and will be working on this as soon as I am finished. I expect everything to be completed by 4:15 if it is to be included. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

You ok with this response? Also, did anyone ever request photos from Keaney and JMC? I think maybe Eric did but am not certain.

Hey Annie and team,

Thanks so much for the offer. I think we've got a handle of must of it, just clarifying intent with a few things.

We would like to ask that everyone double-check to see if the characters you're responsible for have pictures (they're highlighted in yellow on Dee's spreadsheet if they do not) and submit an appropriate photo or image (even if it is not of the specific character) by 4:15pm.

And one quick question to Eric, my memory is getting hazy, did you say that you requested circa 1968 photos of Keaney and McClaughlin? Thayer should be supplying current photos.

Thanks guys. Dee reiterated to us this morning what a great job research staff did in getting this stuff in. Great job!
