Where is the Fringe camp?

"surely you can't mean ME....of course i can come camp with the Fringe."

THERE IS NO FRINGE CAMP THIS YEAR!!" We are part of the Red Nose District!
Now, as you already know, the Fringe has teamed up this year with the
krazy klowns in the Rednose District. That also means there is no
public fringe camp this year. The Fringe is camping with the Red
Nosers. If you have not paid your dues or made previous arrangement
with them you are out of luck. We gave you plenty of notice. Sorry
nothing personal but there is a limit of our resources. The door has
shut on the RND signups for a month and we simply do not have any
space to accommodate any more people.
Please practice radical self reliance at this point if you missed the
circus train. We are within the boundaries of the Red Nose District
and it is rudely unfair to bring more people to camp with us.
If you did not miss the train and are in the RND boundaries. DO NOT
bring, invite, ask, beg, or place your folks to camp with us in the
RND. If this does happen we will have to ask them to leave to make
space for folks who are on the list to be in the camp. Not a good
situation for anyone. Please do not create drama we got enuffffff! to
do when we get there. And please stop asking the Fringe crew to see if
they can make exceptions. It is distracting our crew from the tasks
they need to get done to make their exodus. Please do not make them
grumpy they are working thier asses off to make the magic happen this
year. Besides It is beyond too late, slacker.
On top of that situation, The Rednose District's camping space was not
allotted correctly by the placers. We are going to be tight in our own
space. If you are coming up after Tuesday please be prepared to ditch
your vehicle in the outer rings.
IM A SLACKER, WHERE SHOULD I CAMP? Did we mention that there is no
public Fringe camp? We still want you around though so we encourage
you to camp in the residential sections close to the 9:00 side of
black rock city. and talk amongst yourselves. The RND is at 9:15 and
Esplanade, look for the big circus tent.
I DECIDED LAST MINUTE TO HEAD TO THE BURN, AND I AM A SLACKER.

HOW TO CONNECT OUT THERE: There will be a message board in the NOME
STRUCTURE (big square building) in RND.
Because we are not all camping in the same camp does not mean we don't
love you or that you cannot join in on the fun. I predict we meet up
together as a bigger family of freaks under the big top tent for an
epic circus of beautiful mayhem.
BAD NEWS: DUST (DUH!)
Word is that with no rain this year the playa is dustier than the past
few years. They say that every year but this year the naysayers are
talking about it too. The wind is really kickin up in the afternoons.
but the nights have been warm. Ruts and dunes are on the playa
surface. Prepare accordingly (spare tires, your best dust protection
equipment..rebar, rope, ect...)
THE GOOD NEWS:
NO AUGERS, NO LUMBER, LESS LABOR: - Last year we spent 5 straight
16-hour days building, and labored all week on Sparky. Yup, you
remember cuz you were THERE.. We all loved Sparky, but we love the
MUSIC and the ART and PLAYTIME MORE... So this year, we gained a
circus tent and the same great music...

THE BEST LINEUP EVER: We're collaborating with a crew that needed what
we do well (music/production) and rocks at what we suck at
(construction/staging/infrastructure). This has freed us to focus on
bigger audio vision featuring 4 circus shows, tons of live music,
aerialists, fine art, fire, and insane djs... If you still believe in
the mission, we still could use hands on deck at the following times
and places:
1: TUESDAY AFTERNOON IN BIGTOP
TIME: Will take a few hours at least
WHAT: Unloading soundtruck and setting up the tent... sound, decor etc...
WHO/HOW MANY: This time AND breakdown are the two most crucial times...
As many as possible - just come by
2: WHEN: WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY NIGHTS c.11:30pm - AS SOON AS CIRQUE BERZERK ENDS
WHAT: Moving bleachers and getting tent set up for music - ON THE FLY
TIME: 30 minutes-1 hour
WHO/HOW MANY: 6 peeps
CHECKIN: Backstage - Let them know you are there to HELP
3: BREAKDOWN SUNDAY
FIRST CALLTIME: SUNDAY - NOON
SECOND CALLTIME: 1 hr before sunset
WHAT: Loading sound truck and breaking down decor
Cleaning up and demoopifying Rednose....
TIME: Noon-4pm and Before sunset-Temple Burn
