Dear Film Co-op members and friends,

Here'a a great opportunity for our local film community - both filmmakers and film fans.

Chris Silber, a good friend of the Co-op, came to us last year and spent an afternoon talking about his career as a screenwriting for German television and movies.  He also gave us permission to show his short film  "Icewind" at our Rocket City Short Film Festival last year.  Chris has been working and traveling extensively this past year but has offered to come discuss one of his films being shown at Merrimack Hall.

I first became aware of Chris when I saw a move titled "Goodbye Lenin" - I love this movie.  No better way of saying it - LOVE.  This is a movie with insight, humor, love, deceipt (in a loving way), family, friendship, complex social situations, even international intrigue.  Chris served as "Script Consultant" having written the final drafts of the screenplay.  His IMDB credits have grown enormously in the past year.  Chris is a prolific and highly creative writer.

Our friends at Merrimack Hall will present a screening of "Goodbye Lenin" on Nov 9th. at 6:30pm.  Chris will participate in a Q&A session after the film.  Tickets are only $10.  Student price is only $8.
Mark your calendars.
