Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium, Keynote, and Reception

EALS is an annual meeting for young professionals who work in the arts—organized, executed, and run by AU Arts Management students. The keynote address of this year’s EALS will be given by Adrian Ellis, director of AEA Consulting, who most recently served as Executive Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. The keynote will be followed by a networking reception that includes light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Both the keynote address and reception are open to registered attendees of the Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium, as well as local and national Emerging Leaders, including those attending Arts Advocacy Day. The Arts Management Program at George Mason University is offering a registration discount for EALDC members for its upcoming board member institute. On April 21, 2012, there will be a Board Orientation session about financial responsibilities from 8:30am-12:30 pm at the Fairfax campus.  This intermediate training is designed for board members of an arts organization and focuses on the legal and fiscal responsibilities of boards and an understanding of financial statements and the new Form 990 requirements. The registration fee for EALDC members is only $25 per person per session.

Interested in seeing your event promoted in our newsletter? Email us with your event name, a 50 word description and a link for more information. Please write "EALDC Promotion" in the subject line. Events must be appropriate for young arts professionals and take place in the greater DC area. Information must be received no later than the 25th of the previous month for listing in the upcoming month's newsletter. Final listing is at the discretion of Emerging Arts Leaders DC.
