2011 National Arts Advocacy Day Events
Arts Advocacy Day is coming and with it, hundreds of arts advocates will convene in Washington, DC to show their support for the arts. As a part of these activities, Emerging Arts Leaders DC (EALDC) has collaborated with the Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium, hosted by American University and Americans for the Arts' Emerging Leaders Council, to host several events. These events include an Arts Advocacy Day Emerging Leaders Reception at American University and post-reception Dine-Arounds on Sunday, April 3, as well as an emerging leader reception following the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Monday, April 4.

Academy Award winning actor and Artistic Director of the Old Vic Theatre Kevin Spacey will deliver the 24th Annual Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy. This event is presented by Americans for the Arts.

Interested in seeing your event promoted in our newsletter? Email us with your event name, a 50 word description and a link for more information. Please write "EALDC Promotion" in the subject line. Events must be appropriate for young arts professionals and take place in the greater DC area. Information must be received no later than the 25th of the previous month for listing in the upcoming month's newsletter. Final listing is at the discretion of Emerging Arts Leaders DC.
