Board Member Institute - New Board Member Orientation

The Arts Management Program at George Mason University is offering a registration discount for EALDC members for its upcoming Board Member Institute. The session is for new board members with six or less months of experience. The registration fee for EALDC members is only $25 per person. 2012 WALA Creative Entrepreneur Series at THEARC

Presented by Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts, Legal Issues for Creative Entrepreneurs is a series for creatives of all kinds who want to take the next step in their professional careers. Explore the basics of forming a business for creative endeavors, copyright and trademark, contract and negotiation skills, taxes, and leases. Sessions start September 4 and run through October 9. This series is free for WALA and THEARC Theatre members and $30 per workshop for non-members. EALDC Policies

Interested in seeing your event promoted in our newsletter? Email us with your event name, a 50 word description and a link for more information. Please write "EALDC Promotion" in the subject line. Events must be appropriate for young arts professionals and take place in the greater DC area. Information must be received no later than the 25th of the previous month for listing in the upcoming month's newsletter. Final listing is at the discretion of Emerging Arts Leaders DC.
