Creative Conversation: Shifting Generations in the Arts Management Workplace
In partnership with Americans for the Arts and co-hosted by the National Center for Creative Aging
Wednesday, October 27, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
National Center for Creative Aging, 4125 Albemarle Street NW (Tenleytown)
How is the arts management workplace changing, and how do recent changes in society impact the arts management landscape? What can we do as individuals, within our own organizations, and collectively, as leaders of the field, to facilitate open dialogue between generations and lessen resistance in the workplace to generational transitions? Bring your ideas, questions and real-life experiences, whatever generation you belong to, and join EALDC and NCCA for an intergenerational group discussion with break-out sessions. EALDC will draw from relevant research and articles to provide key discussion topics for the evolving arts workplace. Afterwards, the conversation continues across the street at Guapo's Restaurant for dinner and networking.

NEWS
Things you should know about us.
Rebranding
In March 2010, the Forum for Emerging Arts Professionals changed its name to Emerging Arts Leaders DC. This aligns us with the national Emerging Leaders network and allows us to be more immediately accessible to newcomers to the group. You'll notice that we've also adopted a new logo to go along with this name change. We'll be using both names and logos over the next few months as we make this transition, but please don't be confused - we are still the same group!

The Science of Social Media
October 1 (arts organizations) and October 2 (artists)
