NEWS
Rebranding
In March 2010, the Forum for Emerging Arts Professionals changed its name to Emerging Arts Leaders DC. This aligns us with the national Emerging Leaders network and allows us to be more immediately accessible to newcomers to the group. You'll notice that we've also adopted a new logo to go along with this name change. We'll be using both names and logos over the next few months as we make this transition, but please don't be confused - we are still the same group!

OTHER EVENTS (non-EALDC events of interest)
Arts Education Convening hosted by DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative
The DC Collaborative invites our members and other community arts educators to participate in an arts education convening on Wednesday, January 26th from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Together we will take steps to Identify Promising Approaches for Providing Arts Education via Community Partnerships. During this half-day meeting, participants will explore how arts education providers can work together to serve Washington, DC, children, youth and families more comprehensively. This convening builds on the take-aways -- and responds to the needs identified -- at Arts Education for a Better DC, a November Arts Education conference sponsored by the Sitar Arts Center.
For more information, and to RSVP: http://artseduconvening.eventbrite.com/. This event is free for Collaborative members, $35 for non-members.
