Louise,

I have this question from reading Inkeke's thread....What are the
"Current" trends in colors for home decor?

Let me give it a bit of thought - and a bit of research. I'll write my
thoughts down ASAP.

I have heard that green will be the "must have color" for tomorrow.
That is, for home decor.

This is actually a complicated question! You see there is something
called the Color Marketing Group that is a bunch of designers that
decide what colors are going to be 'in style' in the future. They claim
to base this on some sort of science - the economy, world peace, the
weather (just kidding!) but I think they just pull these colors out of
thin air. Apparently the CMG is dictating that the more muted colors
are on their way out and that clearer and lighter colors are on their
way in. Apparently purple, orange and warm browns are supposed to be
coming into style over the next couple of years.

HOWEVER, there seems to be huge differences regionally and in different
economic groups etc. I'm also seeing a ton of muted color schemes
around here and people still seem to see them as 'current.'

Green? Well it's always in style and it's pretty much regarded as a
classic. Blue on the other hand seems to go in and out of style.

I'll see if I can find the CMG swatches.
