music on the prophetic edge May 10, 2007 Hello everybody! I received an email from my good friend Brad Stott, go-to drummer and current auto industry expert, expressing his disbelief that I had actually done it...make Still Listening music (our original band) available via iTunes! Seems he had found it while putzing around. So the surprise is out. Not only are the Still Listening tracks available for purchase, but both CTG albums, Tales Scratched Out, and Oft Broke Echo are available as well on a number of online music services. Check out the CTG and SL options on the iTunes, emusic, and napster sites and download to your heart's content. You can buy your favorite individual songs or whole albums! Tell your friends and post reviews to help let people know that you like listening to this stuff. And thanks for being a part of this new venture! Below is the text to the most recent Wesley Project song. Progress on that cd is coming and there should be a digital version of it ready for release on May 19 complete with chord charts and lead sheets for use in worship. Hope you will check that out, whatch for links in upcoming emails. On another note, a good friend and musical collaborator, producer/engineer for both CTG albums, Dan Worley will be moving to Kentucky soon. Dan will be missed both for his professional skills and for the friend that he was to so many great artists in southeastern MI. Please watch for Dan's work as he'll have an opportunity to work on it more now and if your ever down that way look him up and ask him to come back to us! See you on the flip side, Carl At Last Death Sleeps by Carl Thomas Gladstone, words by Charles Wesley Happy morrow, Turning sorrow Into peace and mirth! Bondage ending, Love descending Over all the earth! Seals assuring, Guards securing, Watch his earthly prison. Seals are shattered, Guards are scattered, Christ hath risen! He's alive! No longer must the mourners weep, Nor call departed Christians dead; For death is hallowed into sleep, And every grave becomes a bed. Now once more Eden's door Open stands to mortal eyes; Now at last, Old things past, Hope, and joy, and peace begin; For Christ hath risen, and we shall rise! For Christ hath won, and we shall win! To fall asleep is not to die: To dwell with Christ is better life. © 2007 words by Charles Wesley, music by Carl Thomas Gladstone |
