March 25, 2006 A Variety in Boston- Hey!  Great time in Bean Town! After walking around the entire city with host Jess, visiting every single church in New England, a song or two at the KILLER B.U.S.Th. and B.U.T.S.A. (not making those acronyms up, honest) sponsored Variety Show on Wednesday, and a house concert at the Theology House on 2 Raleigh St. Friday I feel like we really rocked Boston.  One of the best parts of Friday (see house-concert goers having a good time after pink frosting cake, left) was when Bob and Anthony came up to be the band for a few numbers! (below)  Literally they had never seen the tunes before and added a lot to them - Bob on keyboard and Anthony on improvised drums. Thanks guys!  Maybe next time we can practice!   Of course, then Bob went and just about out performed all of us on the pool tables at Cornwalls later that night. Thanks also to Dr. Hempton for letting me sit in on his class and for the book inscription.  You know you are a theology geek when you willingly attend class while on a rock and roll tour.  I'm ashamed of myself, that kind of behavior just doesn't jive with the "trashing your hotel room" lifestyle that I should be modeling :) Next are a couple days in Baltimore with an excursion to Washington, D.C. for some demonstrations on immigration issues with other concerned folks.  ::ALSO:: THIS JUST IN TONIGHT!
