The Kirkof Center -
Playing outside
the Women's Center on the campus of Grand Valley last night was a great
honor. Apart from the great decor I've always kinda wanted to be a
musician (like Glenn Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket) who got invited
to play at Take Back the Night Rallies and etc. Seems like
those are the kind of events that
appreciate songs with socially relevant messages. I mean a great tune
is fine and all, but I'd rather write and perform the kinds of songs
that people have to mull over a bit - or songs that make people want to
go out and fix something or show love to someone. And besides, since
tonight's show is hosted by the Men's Christian house at Albion, it was
probably appropriate to have the GVSU show nearer to the ladies!![]() Thanks so much for signing up for this email and remember that if at anytime you'd like to take your name off the list, simply visit our google.groups page to unsubscribe. |
