Did you know that there is a “Wish” Foundation for seniors? Twilight Wish Foundation founded in 2003 believes “that it’s time to say ‘thank you’ by bringing joy into quiet humble lives.” They Foundation celebrates the lives of older adults and thanks them by granting wishes the elders never thought would come true. The object of the wish might be as simple as a radio or a stuffed animal or it might be as elaborate as a Zamboni ride before a hockey game or to be a visiting illustrator at Disney Studios.
In the words of founder, Cass Forkin, “It’s a way we can say thanks in the twilight years to those who have spent their lives making wishes and dreams come true for you and me.”
