The National Institute on Aging has updated one of its most popular publications: “Talking with Your Doctor: A Guide for Older People”. This newly revised edition provides helpful tips including how to:

Select the right doctor for you,
•  Make the best use of your time in the doctor’s office,
•  Discuss sensitive subjects, and
•  Involve family and friends.

******************REMINDER ********************

The Portable Caregiver includes a Health and Medication Record booklet that you can pop out of the binder and take with you to the doctor’s office.  This little booklet makes it easy to keep track of the questions you’ve asked the doctor and what the responses and recommendations are. It also helps you keep track of test results and medications changes.

To order The Portable Caregiver as a holiday gift for someone you care about, visit www.portablecaregiver.com or call Tom or Mary at 919-968-3858. We’ll be continuing our special pricing through November.
