Don’t Fall Down on the Job

Older bodies are more prone to serious injuries from falls than are younger ones.  Fortunately there are many simple steps you can take to make falls much less likely.

Check out these free sources of information on “Fall Prevention” that you can share with your older family members:

The National Institute on Aging Age Page “Preventing Falls and Fractures”

http://www.niapublications.org/engagepages/falls.asp

The National Center for Injury Prevention’s “Preventing Falls Among Seniors”

www.cdc.gov/ncipc/duip/spotlite/falls.htm and

The Consumer Product Safety Commission’s Home Safety Check List for Older Consumers at http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/701.html.

Linking you with helpful caregiving resources and wishing you a wonderful week.
