Apologies, I've gotten a few things wrong per the Divisadero Art Walk: it is *next* Thursday, December 9th.  And it turns out that the CA Honey Drops are in Poland, so they won't be playing either.  And we're out of Old Speckled Hen.  Whoops, no, we have plenty of Old Speckled Hen, so we'll hope to see you next Thursday!  (And I'm also hoping to arrange some other form of musical goodness!)

Yours in space,

Bob

Subject: Music, BPA, and curry this Wednesday!

Page folk, now that you've re-fueled over Thanksgiving, we have three quick notes for you:
  • Wednesday Dec 1st: Come join us this Wednesday for another First Wednesday happy hour, featuring: Dan and Rob on bass and accordion, a $3 pint special on the delicious Ommegang BPA*, and Kim's Malaysian Curry*, served up hot and delicious for your pleasure!  You really shouldn't miss these curries; and the first 15 in the door are entitled to a complementary dish!
  • Thursday Dec 2nd: Come join us this Thursday for another Divisadero Artwalk, featuring: Dan and members of the CA Honey Drops, a $3 pint special on Old Speckled Hen, and our man Gorilla Pete slathering dogs!

  • Tuesday Feb 15th: SF Beer Week is around the corner, watch this space for more information on reserving your seat for an exclusive gathering at The Page for a trip to Cologne, Germany: enjoy and compare local and German Kolsch beers, delicious Cologne-style eats, and Cologne inspired music and service!

Hope to see you there!

Yours in community spirits,

Bob

* This from Kim:

I'll be preparing simple, wholesome vegetarian and meat curries over rice or noodles ($5) inspired by the curries of Malaysia, my homeland of 30 years.  Bring your appetite, you will not be disappointed!!  And don't forget to try some of my fresh cranberry bread!

* This from Ommegang:

Ommegang BPA is our interpretation of a true Belgian-style Pale Ale. Taking inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic, we feel we've brewed up something completely unique.

BPA is brewed with 5 specialty malts and generously- though not excessively -hopped with three hops: Columbus for bittering, three additions of Celeia for aroma, then dry-hopped with Cascade. BPA is primary fermented and bottle-conditioned using our signature house yeast.  Copper-golden in color with entrancing effervescence, BPA forms a substantial, fluffy white head, giving off aromas of tropical fruit and citrus. Noticeable herbal notes and bitterness from the hops never overpower the balanced malt backbone and allow the estery qualities of our yeast to shine through.
