Friends of The Page:
  • In conjunction with the San Francisco Public Library, we're proudly hosting a book reading of Alive in Necropolis by Doug Dorst.  Read the book, then bring your thoughts to this event on October 12!  Here's the promo from the SFPL:
Monday, October 12 - 6-8pm
Spirits, Tarot & The Page . One City One Book One Bar
The Page, 298 Divisadero at Page Street, San Francisco; 21 and over
Help the San Francisco Public Library fête this year's One City One Book pick. It's only fitting that we'll be celebrating this can't-put-down supernatural thriller with custom "Necropolis" cocktails, free Tarot card readings, and a live reading from Dorst himself. The Page Bar inspired a bar on the pages of Alive in Necropolis - have you spotted it yet? Book sales by Green Apple Books.
Go here to learn more about the the book and the SFPL's One City One Book program: http://sfpl.lib.ca.us/news/ocob/onecity.htm.  Hope to see you on October 12!
  • DirecTV has come to The Page, complete with the NFL Sunday ticket.  The Page will be opening at 1pm on Sundays through December and serving up the NFL in HD.  Get your fix in dignified comfort and, with luck, a bowl of Kinto's chili!
  • The Page now proudly offers chicharrones, a sublime pork meat snack from acclaimed local pig people 4505 Meats: www.4505meats.com.  Knock a bag back with a beer and know bliss and contentment.
  • The Page is now in with a bunch of twits: http://twitter.com/thepagebar.  Why not follow?  Hear occasional news about new beers, whiskies, and specials -- news you can use!

Yours in Community Spirits,

Bob
