Songs from Jeff Merchant's new CD, City Makes No Sound, have been
featured recently in various music blogs as "Daily Downloads".
Most notable is Largehearted Boy, a well known music blog. Also worth
checking out are Movement Magazine's Music News Blog and the Muzorama
blog (photo taken by Denise Siegel).

It's rare to find any reviews on the Lullabies - since the band was
somewhat underground and not very well promoted. So it was surprising
to find something during a recent online search. It comes from Trouser
Press as part of an overall write-up and discography on Stew/The Negro
Problem.

Here is what it says:
In addition to the Negro Problem, Stew and Rodewald also became
involved in the LA songwriters collective the Lullabies, with PG-13's
Jeff Merchant and Whitmore Some'tet/Listing Ship's Michael Whitmore.
The quartet's lone album, the good-natured, mildly psychedelic
Lullabies Lullaby, showcases four distinctive talents who mesh well.
Rodewald's twinkling "Received the Message" is the standout track.
