Jeff Merchant & Band will perform a benefit show this Sunday for AMP,
an artists' resource collective.

It will be at Art Share http://artsharela.org/ (which is right across
the street from the now defunct Al's Bar).

Also performing will be Listing Ship, Art Terry (direct from the UK)
and a full evening of music, film, performance and multimedianess (like
truthiness).

On Sunday night, December 17, from 7-10 pm, AMP, the Artists' Meeting
Place and Resource Collective, is gathering the diverse talents of its
members for its first benefit and fundraiser. This will be an exciting
multimedia art event, featuring music from local favorite bands
Listing Ship and the Jeff Merchant Band and singer-songwriters James
Hurley, Brett Mikels, and Art Terry, experimental film from Munich
animator Baerbel Neubauer and Amsterdam filmmaker Christina Della
Giustina, a special circuit-bending demonstration from musician Jeff
Boynton and psycho sign go-go dancer Mona Jean Cedar, an exhibition of
AMP Member visual arts (including paintings by Fumiko Amano, Kira
Vollman, Mara Safransky, Shelley Heffler, and Elon Etzioni), intriguing
magic from Zachary Strange, and performance from the night's Master of
Ceremonies, Scot Nery, the extraordinary pancake juggler. All art and
performances are by AMP Members.

Financial proceeds go towards the establishment of a Los Angeles
International Art Center for AMP, with projected opening date
September 1, 2007.

Donations of art supplies are requested, to be given to the Free Arts
for Abused Children program in Los Angeles.
