Greetings One and All!
Hope everyone has dug out from that massive snow storm that covered the country a few days ago. Good thing I love snow - what else could I do but love it?
Anyway, as a respite from all the white stuff piled on the ground (and roof, and cars, and sidewalks etc) I just finished a summertime painting - full of sunshine and flowers and lots of greens. You can almost feel the warm breeze just looking at it. I have to admit it gives my eyes a rest to see summer colors instead of the winter whites.
This is an actual garden in Australia - I guess it is summertime down under and the owner was kind enough to let me use her photograph as a reference for my painting. Of course, I changed quite a few things so it wouldn't be an exact copy but it was just so appealing, I could not resist painting it. Apparently, others felt the same way because I posted it on Facebook and received the most comments any painting of mine has ever received. Any ideas for a title?
I am getting excited about a major makeover on my website - the first major overhaul since it was started. When it is complete, I will be letting everyone know so you can check it out.
In the meantime, keep warm while you paint -
Mary
