Back in Business!!

Sorry for the absence but my modem for my computer died about 10 days ago and I have been unable to access the Internet until last night - just in time, too, because I was having withdrawal symptoms. But now I am back in business and trying to play catch up.
I am posting a winter scene that I completed recently - perhaps it will cool everyone off after all the extremely hot weather that has been plaguing us lately. This particular scene is similar to but yet different from an earlier painting that sold. Actually the reference photo for this painting was taken in early spring after all the snow had melted, but I felt it would look better covered with the white stuff. Snow scenes provide a great opportunity to play with colors that are completely opposite from all the bright greens of summer - you will notice that I have used blues, purples and pinks in this painting - all cool colors, even the pink feels cool!
