Bauer is helping our distributors control freight costs in several ways. First, all Bauer Prepaid and Add orders require your approval of the freight charges prior to shipment. You can shop around for a better deal before your order ships.
Consider specifying a collect or 3rd party carrier for your order. You undoubtedly do more freight business in your local region than we do, and may qualify for better discounts. Call us at 800-321-4760 for information on weights and freight classes. Just indicate the freight company and account number on your purchase order. In the event your carrier is not able to pick up here, we will contact you for alternate instructions.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Freight Allowed order. Shipments totaling $3500 or more ship freight allowed to most US locations. Bauer charges a flat fuel surcharge of $2 per item. (Fuel surcharge does not apply to accessories or repair parts.) You do not need to calculate the weight of your order, since our freight allowance is based on dollars, not pounds!
Bonus: If you have a ladder on hand for your customer to carry out the door, they are more likely to buy on the spot!

Most Bauer fiberglass ladders come standard in safety yellow. This offers great visibility on the job site and is the perfect background for the dark imprint of our Fibermark logos.
