Toastmaster Meeting Recap

Hello Fellow Toastmasters,

We had 6 people show for the meeting including Emmy, myself, Corrine, Dennis, Tommy T. and a guest, Bob.

Emmy installed the officers of the club and reminded us that a major goal of the club is to get new members.  I also explained the benefits of becoming a Toastmaster.

 

All of us participated in Table Topics.  Tommy gets kudos as Table Topics Master for creating a list of celebrities and a list of occupations.  We had to pick a name and an occupation and state why the celebrity would be a good candidate for the job.  Very funny and hard.  

 

I then discussed a list of administration items with the club including: updating the website, revising the club email list, reminding the officers of Toastmaster training on Saturday, and club competition in February.

 

We have speakers for next meeting on January 26, 2012, the speakers are Corrine, Tommy T., myself.  The evaluators are Susan, Steve, and Mike.  Susan, Steve and Mike if you cannot make it to the meeting please respond and we will find a replacement(s).

 

I will go to the Wells Fargo building and the Microsoft building next week and promote our club.  I will provide an update at the next meeting.

 

Emmy volunteered to update the schedule for upcoming roles.  Thank you Emmy.
