We wanted to touch base with everyone as to concerns that we have with our National Teams. There are still quite a few people who still have not made hotel commitments for our out of town tournaments and we have sent out many reminders to everyone of the upcoming deadlines. We question whether you intend on attending the tournament. We have reserved rooms to try and accommodate everyone and save you the stress of trying to find and book your own hotels. In doing so we are obligated to either drop the rooms not reserved by the deadline or pay for any rooms not yet reserved. The deadline for reservations has now been extended to midnight Jan. 4th.  If you have not booked your room by that time we will be releasing them at the end of that deadline.

 

In addition we have been getting emails about conflicts with tournament dates and various contingencies about some players missing practices / tournament dates. As explained early on you committed to a National Team and you are expected to be at All Tournaments / Practices. We do understand there may be emergencies that arise and we will manage those on a case by case basis. 

That being said, if you know in advance that you will be unable to attend a particular local tournament or event notify your coach immediately so that the coach can adjust the team line up and rotations to give our teams the best opportunity for success. We understand there are going to be some conflicts with other commitments or activities and have always tried to accommodate you as much as possible for local tournaments, however there is no excuse for missing a National Qualifying tournament other than a family or medical emergency.

 

We also understand the stress and excitement along with the numerous commitments with the holidays. However now that the holidays are over we ask that you refocus on the commitment you made to the club and more importantly to your team. As always if you have any questions or concerns please let us know.

The pools are now out for this weekend. You can go tohttp://www.gamepointrtr.com/ click on Houston Shootout # 1 and you are in 17 / 18 pools.

To give you the breakdown you will be playing at the Tornados Facility in a pool of 3 and will play 3 out of 5 match play. When the pool is over you should be done.

All players are to arrive no later than 7:30a Court 14 at the Tornados Facility.
