Stephen Hurrell is a science author, mechanical engineer, and theoretical biomechanical scientist who lives near Liverpool, UK.  In working on various mechanical engineering design projects over the years, it dawned on him that dinosaurs seem too large for current conditions, and when he ran the numbers found that gravity would cause large dinosaurs to be immobile, not able to stand, and not able to survive.  Also, before the dinosaurs there were extremely large fish & insects and after the dinosaurs up until about 5,000 years ago there were extremely large mammals like mammoths & rodents as large as a small automobile.

Steve asked me to review the 3rd Edition of his book as I had been following his theoretical development for many years.  I have absolutely no economic interest in this although he did give me a free copy of this 3rd edition of "DINOSAURS and the EXPANDING EARTH" in exchange for my opinion on it.  My opinion is that this 217 page book is well worth the reading time, small expense, and minor effort to obtain a copy.

It is now widely available to preorder from a number of bookshops.  Publication is scheduled for September 4, 2011.  See the link below for a list of shops:
