Hey- anyone good with object modeling?
Art of Illusion is a free open source 3D modeling and rendering
application.
The best part is it will export to .obj (object file format) and if
you are crafty, you can create shapes and stuff, put them in a scene,
and fiddle with shading like other objects.

I created a funky blimp and had it floating over a terrain in a few
minutes!
- so if you know what you are doing ....it might be a good tool!
