Not sure if this is of interest to anyone...

http://www.terranuts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10012

...I've picked up a copy of the magazine but I haven't done anything
with it yet, other than install and register it. (I'm in the UK...I
get the impression it won't be available in the US for a little while
yet)

Anybody here had any experience of Carrara? Is it worth taking a look
at?

I have tried Vue, Bryce, and others I'm sure I've forgotten the name
of!

I will keep my eye out for this issue, or see if I can get it online.
If I do I will post the link here.

Thanks Ian !

Carrara 5 is one of the easiest and most versatile 3d programs around.
I used it for any modeling needs I had(until I upgraded to
Carrara6Pro), it also has the ability to do landscapes, populations, a
full atmosphere editor/global illumination/terrain generator/etc. And,
the object content library is bigger than Vue's, by far!
Basically, anyone who DOESN'T snatch up this free copy of Carrara 5 is
missing out! It is less known than other Daz products like Bryce and
Studio but, in my opinion, it's the best of the three. Get it, use it,
love it!
