my friends got a nice letter back from the Getty "Copyright Compliance Specialist"

"Based on the non-profit, 501(c)3 nature of your organization, Getty Images is willing to waive settlement for this case. This waiver is contingent on you representing and warranting that you have ceased all use of the image in question and have destroyed all existing inventory that incorporates the image or copies thereof. If any materials are learned to still exist, they shall be immediately destroyed."
