Nick Martin’s Combat Ready Firefighting CRFF Ad Link - Great firefighters deserve great commanders who effectively organize an incident and aggressively solve problems. This program eradicates impractical command that hinders the firefighter and gives you strategies to maximize your department's forces. Our instructors

use decades of successes and failures at incidents to provide a methodical process that current and future incident commanders can use to manage incidents properly and aggressively. Students will leave with actionable knowledge, processes, and systems that can be immediately applied to improve the practicality and success of their command systems. TAC Channel (TAC = Third Alarm Cowboys) – This fun and engaging personal leadership development class is designed to inspire, educate, reminding firefighters why and how we do the job. Setting a performance standard and holding strong to it. Bridging the gap between today’s fire service and the old-school

mentality. Ethical leadership to understand the difference between admin and the firefighter

mindset. Instructor: Heath Meredith, Firefighter & Third Alarm Cowboys

 

Wildland Urban Interface Tactical Challenges - This course is designed to enhance a structural firefighter’s knowledge about firefighting strategies, tactics and certifications in the wildland fire environment. This course strengthens the education a firefighter has already received within the National Widlfire Coordinating

Group (NWCG) S-130/S-190 online courses through the National Fire Academy. Sand-table

exercises are used extensively to simulate firefighter responses to wildland events. Topics of

discussion include Firewise principles, Ready, Set, Go! Evacuation models, Fire Shelters/PPE

and After-Action Reviews of major wildland fires. Instructor: Kevin Nunn, Fire Chief

 

How Not To Get Burnt - We will encompass key points of Fire Prevention ,Fire Investigation and how to document occupancies pre and post fire. This will include code enforcement, fire investigation on the public/private side , and how to best protect yourself and your organization from legality. Instructor: Brian Goodman, Fire Prevention Captain

 

Hazardous Material Incident Command - The student will be immersed in a diverse educational experience involving responding to and managing a hazardous materials incident. Topics covered include laws and regulations, team roles and responsibilities, hazard assessment, Site Safety Plan development, operational risk

management and tabletop exercises to complete the interactive experience. Instructor:  Chief Lee Turner
