Please join us for regional in person convenings around the Opportunity Zones 2.0 incentive.

TNECD is hosting these events in partnership with the development districts and other community partners.

What are Opportunity Zones?

Opportunity Zones are economically distressed communities in the United States that are designated by state governors and certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.  Opportunity Zones offer tax benefits to investors and aim to spur economic growth and job creation in low-income communities while providing tax benefits to investors.

Why It Matters?

Opportunity Zones provide a unique chance to transform communities, assist residents, and create lasting economic sustainability through public-private-philanthropic investment strategies.

Benefit To Investors?

Investing in Opportunity Zones provides a unique opportunity for investors to benefit from substantial tax incentives while contributing to the economic growth of underserved communities. By understanding the specific requirements and benefits, investors can strategically leverage these opportunities for both financial gain and community impact.

Who should attend?

Developers, investors, banks, credit unions, CDFIs, non-profit organizations, foundations, elected officials, economic development professionals, local citizens, accountants, and attorneys.
