ride on May 9th (second Sunday of May) open to motorcycles and ATV
riders. As usual, dual sport and dirt bikes must get a $25 decal for
the year.
I will post more info as we get closer. It will be open riding all day
with lunch around 1pm. Door prizes will be given out at lunch, just
like our last ride.
Clark county opens May 1 if the trails are dry enough. In the past the
East loops have been closed yet, but it depends on the rainfall.
Jackson county opens May 15. I have not been there since they closed
the ATV trails to motorcycles, but there is a new 9 mile single track
loop that we might explore this year. If anyone rode this last fall
please give us a trail report.
Iron Mountain area (Dickinson county)...we rode a section from the
Groveland Mine (M69) north to Porterfield Lake where there is an
existing motorcycle trail. We used snow trail #5 and other logging
roads. There is a bridge going across the Ford river and we
successfully found it to connect with the Porterfield trails.
So...we now have a GPS map from the edge of Iron Mountain, over to
Norway, and all the way up to just shy of Republic!!!
