The kids absolutely loved it (of course, dad may have had fun, too)!
Brianna got a lot of riding in on her little pink 50, and Lucas got to
learn how to ride the XR100 with the clutch and made a few laps. I
almost took a digger in the mud pit, but caught myself and only soaked
my shoes. Just as we were packing up, someone from the parks
department (I assume that's where he was from) came by to see how easy
it was to get the stickers and make sure there were no problems
there. He seemed very pleased to see the bikes on the trails and he
was a real friendly man. Everyone we came across on the trails was
very polite and seemed patient with our amateur status as we tried to
make room for them.
So, all in all, very positive experience, and excellent riding! If
anyone is considering heading up, it is worth the $25 fee per bike,
because we will definitely be there many more times.
Oh, the only negative was that we couldn't find the "kiddie trail"
that was on the map. We found the intense use trail and the shelter
that was out there, but it appears the kiddie trail is a bit over
grown and non-existent.
