Gravity Park in Chilton emailed us saying the track was open for
practice riding on certain days. Check their website or call to verify
before you go. www.gravityparkusa.com
The first weekend in April the track and trails at Dyracuse Mound will
be open (weather permitting). We are planning on going whichever
weekend happens to be the first one. Its $10 per person for a days
ride. The park is south of Wisconsin Rapids just off Hwy 13.
Denmark MX had their track redone by Shaefer Tracks with new jumps,
rhythm sections, and whoops. The track in 20-30 feet wide. The first
race there is April 19, 2009. www.denmarkmx.com
We will be getting our cycles out in the next week or two so if you
have the itch to ride, go find your gear!!
It is a nice thing to see diesel prices at $2 a gallon also. That
helps when i have a 160 gallon tank to fill on the bus. Last year it
was over $4. So....gas and diesel are cheap, friends are plentiful,
and there are always trails to explore. Last year we went from Iron
Mountain and explored East to Norway and North to the Groveland mine.
This year we'll start at the mine and keep going north toward
Ishpeming and beyond. There are alot of gold mines up there (at least
old ones on the map), and tons of trails to explore. Our goal is one
day to make it to the top and hit Lake Superior!
