Weekly News and Ride Post -- October 8, 2013

Hello Cyclists,

Saturday (Oct. 12, weather permitting) we'll be doing the ride Bud Valdez and 8 or 9 of us scouted out in May.  The estimated distance will be 47.71 miles, starting at 0800 hrs from the Mayborne Center (exit 303B, I35 North) in Temple. It will be an opportunity to see some of the roads in East Bell County, with a planned stop at the Ratibor Grill for some really great burgers on the way in.  It will be a NO DROP ride, moderate pace and with several opportunities for regrouping and at least one opportunity for fluid replenishment. 

To those who plan on attending, please send Bud an e-mail at ava...@iname.com NLT 1200 hrs, 10-11-13, so that he can let the Ratibor Grill know whether they need to bring in extra help.

This ride is a lot of fun and the burgers are hard to beat.  Unfortunately, I can't make it, but I hope the rest of you can.
