Cyclists --
First of all, I want to wish all of my TRK, Team Army, WOW, and Team Brotherhood friends a very merry Christmas, and all the best this special holiday can bring. That being said, here's the "official" ride for Saturday.
Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 -- Wheels will roll at 9 a.m. from Hancock Park in Lampasas for the 36-mile Tour d' Cattleguard. This is a great way to end the year: a little climbing, a little coasting, and a lot of really nice rural scenery. After the ride, let's meet at Storm's on Key Avenue in Lampasas for some good, old fashioned greasy burgers. To get to the start area, take US 190 west to Lampasas. Go straight through the traffic light at US 190 and 281 into the parking lot. Coffee and carbs at 8 a.m. at the Donut Palace.
I'm open to suggestions for a New Year's Eve day ride since we can't do the Shell Mountain bit due to bridge repairs.
Have a great Christmas, folks,
David
