Hello Cyclists,
I'm not sure, but this could be my last crack at ride posting. My moving schedule is just a little more than a little bit up in the air. However, on the basis of a recent conversation with Jorge (The Elder) Maldonado, it seems that he, along with Randy Ray Parker and Jolitha Dominguez will take on the responsibility of posting the weekly -- and sometimes midweek -- rides. Here, my friends, is what's up for Saturday, the first day of November.
Nov. 1, 2014 -- Wheels will roll at 9 a.m. from the Hancock Park parking lot in Lampasas for the famous Tour de Cattleguard. This is a 36-mile beauty with stops in Lake Victor and Naruna, and a great 10.5-mile downhill (well, mostly anyway) finish. To get there, take US 190 West into Lampasas and go straight through the US 287 light into the parking area. Coffee and carbs at 8 a.m. at the Donut Palace on Key Avenue in Lampasas.
PLEASE NOTE : Saturday is the first day of hunting season, so wear you bright colors and try to look as little like a deer as possible. Seriously, let's be safe.
Y'all are the best,
David
