Hi folks,

 

 Just a reminder re Bachata class, open to anyone with or without dance experience, 7.15-8.15pm at Doghouse bar on Brown st, Dundee, £4 for class or £7 for 2 if staying for another class.

 

 

Just another reminder re the following 2 events ; please pass the word, still lots of tickets left for fri eve, but selling faster now so would still advise to get them from Grouchos or from me on tues eve this week at dog house bar, on brown st, 6 till 10 pm ish  I'll be there.

Also remember the cocktails, try to buy some to support the APEX as they have provided the venue for free, also remember the peruvian goods for sale during the break about 10ish for 15 mins only. I've attached a new price list as made an error on last one, sorry.

 

Live salsa/Son band at Apex hotel, Dundee, fri 30th May 8.30 till 12.30am
 
Rough plan just now for band night is 8.30pm doors open,
Beginners salsa class at 8.45pm,
La Sonera Calaveras band play first set 9.15 to 10ish
music for dancing 10ish till 10.20pm ( during this period Peruvian goods & silver peruvian jewellry for sale in foyer for 15 mins only)
10.20pm- dance demo with YAMIL & Rumba/ bata ensemble ( chance for audience participation too )
Draw Raffle 10.45
Band play 2nd set 10.50 till 11.30ish
11.30-12.30am music for dancing
 
 
Cocktails will be on sale in bar for this evening,

They will be £3.50 each.
 


CUBAN dance workshops on 31st May with YAMIL CUEDO FERRERA 
One day workshops at the APEX hotel on the 31st May with YAMIL CUEDO FERERRA, Cuban dancer & performer all the way from Santiago de Cuba, Ballet Folklorico Cutumba dance company.  Yamil is also performing on the 30th at the Apex in the evening too. Programme will be as follows :
 
12.15-1pm Cuban Salsa IMPROVERS level partner class ( suitable for those who already know some Cuban style salsa)
1.10- 2pm SON ( origins of salsa) ( for all levels, but need some salsa or ballroom experience)
2.10-  3pm Rumba ( Afro-Cuban dance- Guanguanco style) - no dance experience necessary
3.10-  4pm  Cuban Salsa INTERMEDIATE/ Advanced level partner class ( suitable for those who know quite abit of Cuban style salsa)
 
Classes will be £6 for one, £15 for 3 or £18 for all 4.  Only class suitable for total beginners to salsa/dance  is the Rumba class, Some knowledge of salsa or ballroom dance is required for son class and knowledge of cuban style salsa for the cuban salsa classes.  Drinks available to purchase from bar at Apex.

URGENT

If anyone is going home to Glasgow on fri eve after band night & can give one of the band a lift please let me know asap.

Also if anyone coming from edinburgh for the band night & can give Kath & Yamil a lift to Apex on fri night also let me know asap otherwise I'll book them on bus but obviously a lift is much nicer.

 

 Tables reserved so far are as follows if you want to reserve a table you need to pre purchase tickets from me or Grouchos in advance & email me at sara...@gmail.com before thursday to reserve one as seating plan has to be emailed on thurs to apex lady.
