Hi folks,

 

Not long to go now before the LIVE BAND night, please try to get tickets in advance if you can it allows the venue to know how many people to put on bar, there will be tickets on the door too.  Need to sell alot more tickets, please bring friends.  Anyone want to book a table ????

 

The big news is at this event we should reach the £50, 000 mark which is amazing ! thanks to everyone attending salsa classes & latin Quarter events since 2003.  Please pass the word if you can.

 

 Saturday 13th March -  LIVE Cuban Son Band,  Son al Son debuts in Dundee @ The Chamber Suite, Panmure St,  Dundee DD1 1ED .  8.30-1am, beginners class @ 8.30pm.  Tickets £10 on sale now from Grouchos, Dundee or via salsa classes, or email sara...@gmail.com.  Also pay on door availability permitting.  Tables for 8 to 12 can be reserved for this event in advance for pre purchased tickets. There will also be a raffle at this event.  Money raised goes to the Azul Wasi street children project in Peru via Peace Child International.

The band Son al Son was formed in 2008. Its line-up is made up of musicians from Cuba and Scotland.

As the name suggests, Son al Son play son, a style of music made popular in 1920’s Havana and more recently in the film “Buena Vista Social Club”. To this day, songs like Chan Chan, El Cuarto Del Tula and Dos Gardenias are played in cafes and bars across Cuba, Son al Son have recreated this sound to bring a little bit of Havana to you.

Son al Son play a lively set of traditional Cuban songs guaranteed to get your feet tapping and out of your seat in no time, Gozar! Enjoy!.
